Begin with Main shrine and Thousands of Red Gate for sightseeing. After the Thousands Red Gate, We are taking you by hidden back bamboo & cedar forest scenic route to the summit of Mt Fushimi.
Mt Fushimi itself is holly mountain, consist of 3 peaks and many shrines. On the way you will also see plenty of holly mounds dedicated by individual follower.You can feel cultural and sacred aspect of Fushimi.
Usually, near the big main gate and the way to the view point are full with plenty of people(more than half visitors return at the view point), but on the back route, probably you will meet a few people, feeling like private forest.
From the top, walk down through uncountable red gates with less people to the panorama Kyoto View point, then go back to the main gate. We’ll also show you special photo spots on the way.
After Hiking, walk in exciting Fushimi town with many food stands, then enjoy chewing Japanese noodle Soba or Udon with tea in nice restaurant
TOUR ITINERARY
Hiking is 3 hours including 20 min little bit steep clibming path. Please come with comfortable clothes, shows and Hands free backpack for hiking. Paths are well organised, but you need climb up some stairs and steep soil road. Time schedule differ by walking speed. The tour will be operated in a raining day also, except very heavy rain like a typhoon coming. Actually it is not bad in raining day and sometimes you can enjoy more beauty without many people.
